These terms apply to the Taro app, made by Volodymyr Shyrochuk ("we", "us"). By using Taro you agree to them. On iOS, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Purpose
Taro uses tarot symbolism for entertainment and self-reflection. Readings are not predictions. They are not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and they do not replace a professional. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a support line; the app lists some in Settings → Support lines.
AI-generated content
AI readings are generated automatically by an AI model. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected. You decide what to do with them, and you are responsible for the decisions you make. You can report any reading from the reading screen.
Acceptable use
Do not use Taro to try to generate harmful, illegal, hateful or sexual content involving minors, to attack or overload our service, or to get around limits, purchases or safety checks. We may block an installation that abuses the service.
Purchases
- Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, and their terms apply, including their refund policies.
- Reading credits are consumable. They are non-refundable except where the law or the store's policy requires a refund, and they cannot be transferred.
- Reading credits are tied to this installation and are not restored after you delete the app or its data. The export file does not contain them.
- Remove Banner Ads is a one-time purchase and can be restored with Restore purchases.
- The free daily reading and the readings you can earn by watching a reward video may change or end. Credits you have already received are not affected.
Your data and exports
Your journal is stored on your device. Export files are yours: keep them safe, because anyone with the file can read its contents. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle data.
Intellectual property
The app, its original card art, texts and design belong to us. You may use them only within the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may keep and share your own journal entries and readings.
Availability
We may change, suspend or stop features, including AI readings in some countries, at any time. We try to keep the app available but do not guarantee it.
Limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on a reading. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Termination
You can stop using Taro at any time and delete its data in Settings → Delete all data. We may block an installation that breaks these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
Changes
We will publish new versions of these terms here with a new version number and effective date.
